Madonna’s Knee Injury
Madonna had to postpone another NYC concert due to an undisclosed knee injury. A statement on the music icon’s website read that last night’s (October 7th) show at BAM Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn was postponed because “Madonna is currently dealing with a knee injury and has been advised rest for the next three days to assist in her recovery.”
Fans who bought tickets to the pricey concert — some of which are marked as high ast $2,000, are “encouraged to hold onto their tickets pending information on rescheduling.”
Madonna also announced the news on Instagram, telling her fans that it is hard to admit her Madame X alter ego “is also a human being made of flesh and blood and she must rest for the next 3 days to insure full recovery for her knee.” She added, “I am not a quitter. This hurts me more than you can imagine. Its time to take those heels and fishnets off for a few days!”
This isn’t the first time the singer has rescheduled on this tour. One show, previously scheduled for September 15th was canceled entirely. She also rescheduled the tour opener, which was set to be on September 17th. She is also postponing her San Francisco dates at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco, citing issues with “highly specialized visual and production elements” of the show.
