Vernon co-workers become co-winners

VERNON, B.C. — Some co-workers at a Vernon pharmacy have some extra spending money after cashing in a B.C. Lottery ticket.

Tina Gauvin and six other colleagues won $500,000 after matching all four Extra numbers in the Sept. 25 Lotto 6/49.

“I am known for playing tricks on my co-workers, so when I told them we won, no one would believe me,” Gauvin, who was appointed team captain by the group, said.

Gauvin was picking her mother up from the airport when she stopped by a self-serve terminal to scan the winning ticket.
