KAMLOOPS — At the three-quarter mark for the year, the Kamloops construction sector shot past the $200-million mark last month.
The City of Kamloops’s building department has released new numbers showing its Building Inspection Division issued $22.4 million in permits last month.
Of last month’s permit value, the vast majority came under the residential category. Nearly $6 million was issued for a single apartment complex start.
The busy September moves the year-to-date total for 2019 to $209.7 million. That’s 12 per cent higher than at the same point in 2018.
