KAMLOOPS — A man accused of murdering his pregnant girlfriend nearly 20 years ago made an appearance in the Kamloops Law Courts today.

Trent Larsen appeared by video, while his lawyer Tony Lagemaat appeared by phone.

Lagemaat said he was recently retained by Larsen, and needs time to review investigative materials.

Larsen’s next court date is expected to be Oct. 21 in Kamloops.

RCMP announced last Thursday (Sept. 26) that the 52-year-old Larsen was arrested on Sept. 15 and charged with the 2001 murder of Angel Fehr.

The 27-year-old Fehr was last seen on April 23, 2001, after she had attended an Easter dinner with her family, including her two daughters.

Fehr was five months pregnant at the time, and Larsen was her boyfriend. Police say Fehr’s remains were found on a rural property near 100 Mile House after Larsen’s arrest.

None of the accusations against Larsen has been proven in court.
