CAST FOR KATE WINSLET-LED MARE OF EASTTOWN ROUNDS OUT: Julianne Nicholson (Monos), Jean Smart (Life Itself), Angourie Rice (Black Mirror), Evan Peters (I Am Woman), Cailee Spaeny (On the Basis of Sex) and David Denman (The Replacements) will join Kate Winslet in HBO‘s Mare of Easttown, a limited series from Brad Insglesby and Paul Lee‘s wiip. Winslet plays a small-town Pennsylvania detective whose life falls apart as she investigates a local murder.

BOJACK HORSEMAN REACHES THE END OF THE ROAD: Netflix is pulling the plug on BoJack Horseman. The sixth season of the critically acclaimed animated comedy will be its final one. The season will air in two parts on October 25th and January 31st, 2020.

STEPHEN ROOT JOINS GLENN CLOSE AND MILA KUNIS IN FOUR GOOD DAYS: The Emmy-nominated Stephen Root (Barry), is joining Glenn Close and Mila Kunis in Four Good Days. Hailing from Rodrigo Garcia, the drama follows a mother helping her daughter work through four crucial days on her road to substance abuse recovery. The film is co-written by Garcia and Eli Saslow, and is based on his 2014 Washington Post article on the subject.

NBC GREENLIGHTS BLACK GIRL MAGIC: NBC is developing Black Girl Magic with Gabrielle Union and Robia Rashid set to produce. The half-hour single cam comedy follows the story of three estranged sisters who learn a mysterious secret about their family history that changes their lives and draws them back to New Orleans. Union will executive produce under her I’ll Have Another banner alongside Rashid and Downtown Girls’ co-creators Emebeit Beyene, Crystal Boyd and Chandra Russell (Southside).
