KAMLOOPS — RCMP say they have made an arrest in a Kamloops cold case nearly two decades old.

According to an RCMP news conference held Thursday (Sept. 26) in Surrey, 52-year-old Trent Larsen was arrested Sept. 15, and charged with the murder of Angel Fehr.

The 27-year-old Fehr was last seen on April 23, 2000, after she had attended a family Easter dinner with her family, including her two daughters.

Fehr was five months pregnant at the time. Larsen was her boyfriend.

Police say this past weekend, after Larsen’s arrest, Fehr’s remains were found in a property near 100 Mile House.

RCMP say the property owner was very helpful in assisting investigators and providing equipment to help recover the young woman’s body. Police say the property owner has no connection to the crime.

Larsen’s next court appearance is set for Sept. 30 in Kamloops.
