SUN PEAKS, B.C. — A Sun Peaks company is the latest to file an application with B.C.’s Passenger Transportation Board to offer ride-hailing services.
Sun Peaks Taxi says it only wants to operate in one of the province’s five regions: Okanagan-Kootenays-Cariboo, which includes the Kamloops area.
In its application, Sun Peaks Taxi says it wants to continue to operate in smaller communities, and “will be the model of a sustainable ridesharing business.”
The company becomes the tenth to apply to offer ride-hailing services in B.C., and the seventh that is offering to serve the Kamloops area.
