Killer pleads guilty in death of Belgian tourist near Boston Bar

BOSTON BAR, B.C. — RCMP say the man who murdered a Belgian tourist near Boston Bar last year has pleaded guilty.

The body of 28-year-old Amelie Sakkalis was found on August 22, 2018, off of Highway 1 near Boston Bar.

Investigators believe Sakkalis had been hitchhiking from Penticton to Vancouver on the day of her death.

Oliver resident Sean McKenzie was arrested about three weeks later.
