Blazers trade to fill overage vacancy

KAMLOOPS —- A trde by the Blazers today to fill their overage vacancy — adding some scoring punch to the mix.

They’ve acquired 20 year old Ryan Hughes from the Saskatoon Blades.

In return Jerzy Orchard and two draft picks go to the Blades.

Hughes is going into his 4th season and a had a goal and two assists in the first two games of this season.

Hughes split last season between Portland and Saskatoon, scoring 30 goals and 69 points in 61 games.
