KAMLOOPS ROTARY FOOD DRIVE

Still time to drop-off donations for Kamloops Food Bank

KAMLOOPS — It’s not too late to raid the pantry and gather food donations for the fall edition of the bi-annual Kamloops Rotary Food Drive.

Organizers say today’s (Sept. 21) round of collection brought in around 30,000 lbs of food donations for the Kamloops Food Bank. Working to gather up any additional items, the Food Bank is hopeful that donation bins set up in local grocery stores will boost the food count.

The public is also reminded that if anyone forgot to put out their donation bag, or haven’t had time to drop off, there is still time to do so.

Perishable, and non-perishable food items can be donated a couple of ways:

  • Directly at the Kamloops Food Bank, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m to 2 p.m. (Located at 171 Wilson Street)
  • Using the donations bins found at the front of grocery stores- picked up daily by foodSHARE drivers.

Items brought in through the fall food drive are used to stock the shelves of the Kamloops Food Bank ahead of the busy holiday season.
