Will Smith’s Marriage Advice

Will Smith revealed how couples can “sustain lifelong partnerships” in a hilarious birthday video for wife Jada Pinkett-Smith. The video, which he posted on Instagram, show he and Jada on a plane about to land into Tanzania. Will Smith shared that he had made the mistake of not telling his wife something about the trip — and Jada didn’t seem amused at all.

He said, “I didn’t tell Jada that the runway was going to be dirt.” He continued, [“I want to talk to y’all about sustaining lifelong partnerships. Stuff like, ‘It’s not really a runway, it’s dirt’ – you don’t say that. Your marriage doesn’t need it. It just brings up conversations that are unnecessary when once you’re down the truth is revealed. The truth comes out in the wash.”] SOUNDCUE (:24 OC . . . in the wash)

Throughout the video, Jada keeps a straight face.
