KAMLOOPS — Police are on scene at Sa-Hali Secondary this morning for a reported threat.

School District 73 has not released information at this point, but police have confirmed a threat was made toward the school.

“Currently, no students or staff are entering the school,” Shelkie says. “Students who live in the vicinity of Sa-Hali Secondary are asked to stay home from school until further notice.”

Students who do not live near the school are to meet their teachers in the Sa-Hali Secondary field. Alternate arrangements are being made for the day.

It’s not known at this point if the threat is credible.

“Once the RCMP has been able to determine that the threat is false and that the building is safe, students and staff will be allowed back into class,” she adds.

Parents report that students will be out of class until the noon hour.

More to come.
