Downtown Santa Claus Parade moves from dawn to dusk

KAMLOOPS — Santa Claus may be waking up a little later this year.

The Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association (KCBIA) says this year’s Santa Claus Parade will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17.

Instead of the traditional wake-up call, organizers say children will “welcome” Santa at 3:15 p.m.

In a news release, the KCBIA says the date has moved to November 17 to avoid a conflict with the Grey Cup, which is slated for Sunday, November 24.
