KAMLOOPS — Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is the first party leader to visit Kamloops during the 2019 federal election campaign.

Trudeau addressed a boisterous crowd at Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo Liberal candidate Terry Lake’s campaign office on Victoria street Thursday afternoon (Sept. 12.)

After a welcome from Lake, Trudeau told the crowd the October 21 election will be a choice between Harper-era “austerity” and investing in the middle class.

Outside the gathering, several protestors gathered to draw Trudeau’s attention to problems with the beleaguered Phoenix pay system.
