Sagebrush repairs to be complete in time for opening of WCT’s Mainstage season

KAMLOOPS — As Western Canada Theatre prepares to open its first show of the season at the Pavillion Theatre, the company is looking forward to getting back into the Sagebrush Theatre.

The Sagebrush was closed in February due to structural issues.

This caused performance groups like the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra and Western Canada Theatre to find alternate spaces.

With repairs underway, WCT is expecting to open its next show at the Sagebrush.

“Our Mainstage season opens up there with Dracula: The Bloody Truth at the beginning of October,” said WCT Artistic Director James MacDonald. “It’s still on track, they’re doing the construction as scheduled. So, currently we’re looking good to open our show up there at the beginning of October. The Symphony, as most people will know, has moved back to the Oasis Church for the beginning of their season, but they’ll be back at the Sagebrush later on.”
