Body of Shuswap boat crash victim recovered

SICAMOUS, B.C. — RCMP say they have recovered the body of a man who died after a boating collision on Shuswap Lake.

The crash happened on September 1, on the lake between Canoe and Sicamous.

The 33-year-old victim, identified by family as Ryan Hartmann of Lake Country, was missing until the RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team located and recovered his body late Monday evening (Sept. 9).

There is no word on the condition of a 25-year-old woman who was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the crash.
