KAMLOOPS — The Westshore Rebels beat the Kamloops Broncos 45-0 at Hillside Stadium on Saturday night. The game was delayed for a significant period thanks to the spectacular electrical storm that hit shortly before 7:00 pm.

Westshore scored early in the contest, staking themselves to a 17-0 lead before the weather system rolled through the valley, which delayed the game for more than an hour.

After the bulk of the lightning had passed, the teams resumed play. The Rebels would put up a further 28 points to coast to a 45-0 victory.

The loss drops the Broncos to 0-5 on the season. Kamloops has now played each of the other teams in the BCFC, scoring 62 points and surrendering 262.

The Broncos have five games remaining on their slate for the 2019 season, including their next two games at home.

They host the Okanagan Sun on September 14th at 2:00 pm at Hillside Stadium, before closing out their home schedule against the Vancouver Island Raiders on September 21st at 6:00 pm.
