KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops has released a new interactive map in an effort to prevent damage to its underground utilities.

In a news release, the City says damage to its buried pipes and conduits can be “inconvenient, costly, and even dangerous.” The City says this damage can be caused by construction or yard work.

The new interactive online map shows where all the City’s drainage, sewer and water pipes are buried.

It does not include non-City owned infrastructure, such as those owned by FortisBC, BC Hydro or telecommunication companies, however the City says it aligns with BC One Call.
