Warm, summer weather expected to hang out in Kamloops this week

KAMLOOPS — According to Environment Canada, the tail end of summer weather will be sticking around in the Kamloops area this week.

Meteorologist Colin Tam says it should be fairly sunny this afternoon (Sept. 1), however some clouds are expected to roll in later on today.

“Maybe a chance of showers, and slight risk of a thunderstorm, which carries on into the early part of the evening,” He explains, “Eventually, it will gradually clear out by tomorrow morning as a ridge of high pressure builds, and it will lead us right into a nice sunny and warm week to start the school year.”

Tam says this week’s high-temperature predictions are definitely above the normal temperatures expected.
