TRU WolfPack Men’s Soccer kicks off regular season with a draw

KAMLOOPS — Neither Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s soccer, or University of British Columbia Thunderbirds were willing to give an inch today (Aug. 31).

The WolfPack opened their regular season at home this afternoon from the Warner Rentals field at Hillside Stadium with a 1-1 draw.

In the first half, scoring started with a goal from the Thunderbirds, followed by an equalizer goal shortly after – courtesy of TRU’s James Fraser.

The second half of the match however, was a different story, as neither team scored again.

The WolfPack now look ahead to tomorrow, as they get set to take on UVIC Vikes at 1 p.m from Hillside Stadium.
