Katy Perry’s Small Talk

Katy Perry’s upcoming “Small Talk” video is going to the dogs.

“I want the Jennifer Aniston of dogs,” Katy announces during a pre-production meeting for the upcoming video. “I want the Brad Pitt of dogs. I want star dogs,” the singer continues.

“Can we have a shot of me sharing an ice cream cone with my dog?” Perry asks the director, producer and commissioner later in the meeting.

The singer posted a behind-the-scenes tease of the video on Instagram, revealing that the real stars of the visual are canines.

There are scenes from the video which is set at a dog show called “The Mutt Ball,” where the motto is “making fetch happen.” Katy famously attended the dog show’s inspiration – The Met Ball – earlier this year, dressed as a chandelier.

“Small Talk” is the second offering of a new era from Perry following “Never Really Over,” which debuted in May. The new single is about how dramatically things change between two people who used to be lovers. “Isn’t it weird that you’ve seen me naked? We had conversations ’bout forever, now it’s ’bout the weather,” Perry sings.
