Worksafe BC launches investigation after man dies while repairing transport truck in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Worksafe BC and the BC Coroners Service are investigating after a man died while repairing a transport truck in Kamloops.

According to a spokesperson for Worksafe, the incident happened on August 3 while the man was beneath a truck conducting repairs.

The spokesperson would not divulge the location of the incident, citing privacy concerns.

The Coroners Service identifies the victim as a man in his 60s, and says it is in the early stages of a fact-finding investigation.

“Our investigation will determine how, where, when and by what means this individual came to their death,” the Coroners Service said in an email.
