HALSEY STARS IN DKNY FALL AD CAMPAIGN: DKNY is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a fall campaign led by Halsey and the Martinez Brothers. In one new campaign video, Halsey is seen in select pieces from the DKNY fall 2019 collection, including a checked suit, raw denim and leopard-print athleisure wear. In another, the Martinez Brothers sport tailored looks and classic outerwear. The singer will perform and the brother duo will DJ at DKNY’s birthday party in September, during New York Fashion Week.JORDIN SPARKS RETURNING TO BROADWAY IN ‘WAITRESS’: Jordin Sparks made her Broadway debut in 2010 with a role in In the Heights, the Tony-winning musical Lin-Manuel Miranda created before Hamilton. Now, she’s returning to the Great White Way this fall. Starting September 16th, Jordin will star in Broadway’s Waitress; her run in the show will wrap up October 27th. Jordin will play Jenna, a pregnant waitress and expert pie-maker who’s stuck in a bad marriage and starts an ill-considered affair with her OB-GYN. Waitress, which opened in 2016, is the first Broadway musical in history to have an all-female creative team, including Sara Bareilles, who wrote the music and lyrics. The show will close on Broadway in January of 2020.

‘WALKING DEAD’S’ CHRISTIAN SERRATOS IN TALKS TO PLAY SELENA IN UPCOMING NETFLIX SERIES: Walking Dead’s Christian Serratos is reportedly in talks to play the late singer Selena Quintanilla in the upcoming scripted show Selena: The Series. Netflix is working with Selena’s family to make the new series, which is going to begin production in Mexico within the next month. It’s being reported that the series is designed to run for two seasons, though it’s not known if episodes will be half-hour or hour-long. Christian is still in negotiations because of her shooting schedule for The Walking Dead. She plays the fan-favorite character Rosita on the AMC series. Selena was shot and killed at the age of 23 by her business associate. The show will follow the singer and her family as they worked to build her career.
