Officers swarm downtown Kamloops to arrest suspect in domestic altercation

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say a large police presence downtown during the noon hour Tuesday (Aug. 20) helped make an arrest of a man trying to flee.
According to a news release from Staff Sgt. Edward Preto, the man was wanted for mischief in relation to a domestic violence investigation.
When the 22-year-old suspect was spotted near Fifth Avenue and Lansdowne Street, he ran.
Officers caught up to him near Second Avenue and Victoria Street.
