SPENCES BRIDGE, B.C. — The bodies of two men reported missing in July have been found near Spences Bridge.

According to a news release from RCMP E-Division, the bodies of Ryan Provencher and Richard Scurr were found Saturday (Aug. 17) in a rural area north of Spences Bridge.

The Southeast District RCMP Major Crime Unit (SED MCU) was called in, as police say it’s believed the deaths “involve criminality.”

The 38-year-old Provencher and 37-year-old Scurr, both of Surrey, were last seen July 17 in south Surrey.

They were reported missing when Provencher’s Jeep Cherokee was found abandoned near Logan Lake.

In their news release today, RCMP say SED MCU worked with the BC Coroners Service to identify the two men and confirm the IDs to the public to advance the investigation.
