HALSEY HAS QUIT SMOKING AFTER 10 YEARS: Halsey took to Twitter to reveal that she has quit smoking after 10 years. “I successfully quit nicotine a few weeks ago after smoking for TEN years,” she tweeted. “I gained a lot of weight and probably lost some friends forever bc I was being a NUT (lol) but I’m so happy I did it and I feel v goooood. just wanted to share.” After making the announcement, Kelly Clarkson tweeted back to Halsey sending her some encouragement. “I don’t even know you and I’m proud of you! That’s amazing! You’re too cool, talented, and inspiring for you to shave years off your beautiful life girl,” the 37-year-old American Idol winner wrote.

ADAM LAMBERT TO RELEASE NEW EP IN SEPTEMBER: Adam Lambert will release part one of his new EP in September. The 37-year-old singer shared a release date, September 27th, and track list for Velvet: Side A on Thursday. “Velvet: Side A” will include the single “Superpower,” which debuts September 4th. The EP also features the songs “Stranger You Are,” “Closer to You,” “Overglow,” Loverboy” and “Ready to Run.” “Velvet: Side A is his first studio release since the album The Original High, which debuted in June 2015.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE TEASES POSSIBLE COLLABORATION WITH LIZZO: Justin Timberlake took to Instagram on Thursday to share a video of himself and Lizzo in a recording studio together. “Lizzo flames, brb,” Justin captioned the video as he dances around while playing a new song as Lizzo jams out on a couch. So far, neither Justin nor Lizzo have confirmed if they were actually collaborating together. Lizzo will soon be hitting the stage for the 2019 MTV VMAs, which takes place August 26th.

KATHARINE MCPHEE CHANGES INSTAGRAM HANDLE TO MARRIED NAME: Katharine McPhee has changed the handle on her Instagram account to reflect her married name. The 35-year-old singer and actress is now @KatharineFoster on the social media app. She previously had changed her bio to list her name as Katharine Foster and it now says Katharine McPhee Foster. Katharine tied the knot with music producer David Foster back in June and they recently performed together at the taping for his upcoming PBS special, which is airing in the fall. During the concert, David introduced Kat to the stage as “Katharine McPhee Foster” for the very first time.
