Charlie Weber, Louise Lombard, Candice King, Karimah Westbrook and Rob Estesjoining are joining the party, which is based on Anna Todd‘s bestselling book series. After recently snagged Best Choice Drama, Choice Drama Movie Actor and Choice Drama Movie Actress at the 2019 Teen Choice Awards. Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffinare returning as leads.
DAVE CHAPPELLE’S STICKS & STONES TO BOW THIS MONTH: Netflix has announced that Dave Chappelle: Sticks & Stones, a new Netflix stand-up special, will bow globally on Monday Aug. 26. This is his fifth special for the mega-streamer.
SHARK TANK‘S DAYMOND JOHN WON’T HOST EVENT AT STRIP CLUB AFTER ALL: Shark Tank star Daymond John will not be hosting a weekend event at a Florida strip club after an outcry. John’s rep tells Deadline that he has no idea he was booked at a strip club. “Daymond works with a booking company that books him for nightclub appearances every now and then,” the spokesperson said. “He was unaware of the type of venue this appearance was scheduled for, and once he was made aware, he immediately decided to not participate in the appearance and informed both the booking company and the venue that he will not be attending and does not want to be tied to this event. All advertising relating to the event is in the process of being removed.”
RON HOWARD AND BRIAN GRAZER TO KEYNOTE TORONTO FILM FEST: The 2019 Toronto Film Festival has unveiled its keynote conversation with Imagine Entertainment‘s Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, plus plans for panels on gender equality and sustainable film and TV sets. The conference takes place Sept. 6-10th and kicks off with a Moguls conversation with Grazer and Howard, who are executive producing TIFF‘s opening night film, Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band.
