VERNON, B.C. — A business inside a complex on 33 Street in downtown Vernon is appealing for witnesses to come forward after a truck rammed into the building Sunday afternoon.

Dan Anderson of Sterling Appraisals and Machinery posted a video on Facebook showing a white truck sliding over the curb and smashing into a window.

Anderson told Vernon Matters that while he doesn’t have an estimate as to how much the damage would cost as of yet he expects it to be in the thousands of dollars.

He said the vehicle damaged much more than just a window.

“They took some of the structure of the building out so they smashed the inside by about a foot,” Anderson said.

Security cameras failed to show a licence plate.

The incident happened just after 1 p.m. on Sunday August 11.

The vehicle involved is described as a 2002-to-2006 white GMC pickup.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.
