RCMP seek missing man after homicide, attempted murder in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Police in Williams Lake are releasing more information about a man missing since an incident and pursuit last week.

Officers were investigating an incident on the Rudy Johnson Bridge last Friday when they noticed a vehicle matching a description of a suspect vehicle in the August 6 homicide in that city.

The corresponding pursuit resulted in the capture of Jayson Gilbert, who is charged with two counts of attempted murder in relation to the Rudy Johnson Bridge incident.

The man who has not been seen since then is Branton Regner.

Investigators want to speak to anyone who has information about Regner’s activities during the week leading up to his disappearance, August 2 through 9.

• 5’11”
• 160 pounds
• Slender
• Blue eyes
• Short brown hair
• Fair complexion
