Witnesses sought in fatal motorcycle collision

KAMLOOPS — After a fatal motorcycle incident the other night, RCMP Traffic Service officers are looking for any witnesses.

In a release today, RCMP say Kamloops RCMP responded on August 9 around 9:45 p.m to an incident along Highway 1 near the Lafarge exit.

A motorcycle headed westbound had hit a deer, causing the rider to fall off. The rider was then struck by one or more vehicles.

Police say in the release it is believed that the drivers of vehicles that struck the rider may not have realized that they had done so.
