STEPHEN COLBERT, TREVOR NOAH, BILL MAHER TO HEADLINE COMEDY FEST: The New York Comedy Festival has set its headliners for the 16^th annual edition this November, and it looks like it’s going to be quite the party. Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah and Bill Maher are among the headliners to anchor the festival, which will feature more than 200 comedians in 100 shows across NYC.

THE OVAL REVEALS CAST: Tyler Perry‘s and BET‘s The Oval has set eleven series regulars for the White House drama. Javon Johnson (The Hate U Give), Ptosha Storey (Empire), Vaughn Hebron (TiTi Do You Love Me), Teesha Renee (Yes, God, Yes), Lodric Collins (Grimm), Ciera Payton (She’s Gotta Have It), Taja V. Simpson (Boo 2: A Madea Halloween), Walter Fauntleroy(Grey’s Anatomy), Brad Benedict (Castle), Travis Cure (Nocturnal) and Matthew Law (The Paynes) join previously announced cast Ed Quinn, Kron Moore, Paige Hurd and Daniel Croix Henderson. Production is underway.

CURSED ROUNDS OUT CAST: Netflix‘s Arthurian legend series Cursed has added Humans and Troy: Fall Of A City star Bella Dayne. She joins Katherine Langford, Devon Terrell, Gustaf Skarsgard, Peter Mullan and Lily Newmark. Dayne will play character Red Spear, described to us as “a regal and ruthless viking captain, with an eye for treasure…loyal to no one, the Red Spear and her crew raid villages along the coast of Britain, until a Fey stowaway boards her ship and entangles their fates.” The show is expected to drop next year.

MARTIN SCORSESE’S THE IRISHMAN SETS LONDON BOW: Martin Scorsese‘s breathlessly anticipated mob pic The Irisman has set its international premiere at BFI London Film Festival (October 2-13^th). The film, which stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and many others, will close the festival. Scorsese commented on the London berth, “I’m extremely honored to be having the international premiere of The Irishman at the closing night of the BFI London Film Festival. This picture was many years in the making. It’s a project that Robert De Niro and I started talking about a long time ago, and we wanted to make it the way it needed to be made. It’s also a picture that all of us could only have made at this point in our lives. We’re all very excited to be bringing The Irishman to London.”
