KAMLOOPS — With the long weekend just around the corner, drivers are being reminded to slow down on area highways.

ICBC says in a news release that motorists may be tempted to speed to their destination, but with an increased speed comes an increased risk of crashing.

On average four people are killed and 630 are injured in 2,300 crashes across the province over the B.C. long weekend.

ICBC and police are urging drivers to slow down.
