Blazers’ Garand named to U18 Team Canada for Hlinka Gretzky Cup

KAMLOOPS — Dylan Garand from the Kamloops Blazers is one of two goaltenders named to Team Canada today for the Hlinka Gretzy Cup.

The 17-year old Victoria native was one of four goaltenders among the 44 players at the selection camp.

Garand is one of nine players from the Western Hockey League named to the 22-player Team Canada roster.

The Hlinka Gretzky Cup will be played August 5 to 10 in the Czech Republic.

Canada is the defending champion.
