KAMLOOPS — According to latest forecasts from Environment Canada, the Kamloops area should experience another round of sunshine this week.

Meteorologist Chris Emond says today, and tomorrow will have temperatures into the low 30’s.

“We’ll have a bit of a break, with things cooling down a bit with a little more cloud on Tuesday,” Emond explains, “And then beyond that, it looks like mainly sunny conditions, and we’ll see the temperatures start to creep up again into about 30 degrees or so. A pretty nice period.”

Compared to the usual dry heat the area experiences, Emond says Tuesday could be slightly humid, given the cloud cover and possible precipitation.

“The front looks like it’s going to be weakening, so I don’t think a period of rain will come with it,” He says, “But some instability in the atmosphere could trigger some afternoon thunderstorms.”

It is expected to be fairly hot this coming week, however Emond says they are not expecting any temperature records to be broken.
