Downtown hosts 3rd annual Back Alley Block Party

KAMLOOPS — Alongside performances throughout the weekend with the Kamloops Buskers Festival, downtown will host its third Back Alley Block Party this evening (July 26).

KCBIA Executive Director Carl DeSantis says the festivities will get started in the back alley behind CJ’s nightclub, and stretch to the area behind Player’s Bench.

“It’s going to be full,” He says, “We have three bands scheduled to perform, we have a variety of breweries coming down to offer some beverages, there will be food for everybody, and different activities.”

Originally scheduled for a few weeks ago, DeSantis says the event was postponed until today due to capacity issues.

“We managed to secure a relationship for this with the Kamloops Sports Council, and they’re helping us do the heavy lifting and the planning.”
