Woman dies from injuries after Westsyde trailer fire

KAMLOOPS — A woman who was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a mobile home fire in Westsyde Monday has died.

A GoFundMe page has identified the woman as Fiona France.

Kamloops RCMP say in a news release that fire investigators and RCMP officers will be examining the scene today.

“It is unknown how long this investigation will be or when the results of the investigation will be available,” Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says.

Two youth were taken into custody after the fire yesterday, but Shelkie says they have been released.

“Their involvement in this fire, if any, is still under investigation,” she says.
