Venom drop Game 2, South Okanagan can wrap up first league title on Tuesday

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Venom are on the brink of elimination in the Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League final.
The Venom lost 12-9 on Sunday night in Oliver to the South Okanagan Flames. The Flames are in the best-of-five championship series for the first time and can close out the title Tuesday night at Memorial Arena.
Kamloops lost 16-15 in double overtime in Game 1 at home. The must-win third game is Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Arena. If necessary, Game 4 would be in Oliver on Thursday.
