SAVONA, B.C. — The Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) rope rescue team was deployed to help rescue a man ejected from a car crash last night.

KSAR’s Alan Hobler says the call came in just before midnight in the Deadman Valley. BC Ambulance attendants were trying to access a man who had been ejected from a vehicle that had driven off an embankment.

Hobler says the man was about 50 feet down the embankment and had extensive injuries.

“We were on scene about midnight. We brought in a couple of other teams from around the region. We used our rope rescue team to extract the person from down the embankment and turned him over to BC Ambulance.”
