WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A Flood Warning on the Chilcotin River has been downgraded to a High Streamflow Advisory.
In issuing the downgrade, the B.C. River Forecast Centre said the river has peaked after torrential rains resulted in a massive pulse through the river earlier in the week.
The Centre says Environment Canada is predicting rainfall in the Chilcotin region over the next three days, but it is not expected to exceed 10 millimetres.
The Cariboo Regional District says more than 100 properties were affected by flooding, and the province notes repairs are underway on roads in the area.
