KAMLOOPS — IT’S THE largest building permit ever approved in Kamloops.
Kamloops Council Tuesday approved a development permit for the nine-story patient care tower at Royal Inland Hospital. Council unanimously approved the permit, and Mayor Ken Christian said when completed, the development will put us in the same camp as Penticton, Vernon and Kelowna, who have all had new hospitals in the past few years.
The tower, valued at $417 Million dollars, is being built on ground behind the new Clinical Services Building. The expansion is expected to be finished by the summer of 2022.
