TRAILER FIRE

No injuries as fire destroys two travel trailers

KAMLOOPS — Fire inspectors will be on the scene this morning to try and determine the cause of a fire overnight on Salish Road that destroyed two travel trailers.

Captain Wade Lindoff of Kamloops Fire and Rescue says they got the call just after 1:00 AM. He says the report originally came in as a fully-involved structure fire, but it actually turned out to be two travel trailers.

Lindoff says one of them was being lived in, but neither was occupied at the time.

Fire crews put the blaze out fairly quickly, but he says there was significant damage.

No injuries, but both RCMP and ambulance attended.
