Four injured in Monday Coquihalla crash

MERRITT, B.C. — Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on the Coquihalla Highway Monday.

According to BC Emergency Health Services, the collision took place near Coldwater Road south of Merritt just after 4:00 p.m.

BC EHS says several ground ambulance crews were dispatched, and the air ambulance was launched out of Kamloops.

Two people were airlifted to hospital in serious condition, while another two were taken to hospital by ground ambulance in stable condition.

There is no word what caused the crash. The highway was closed for about four hours as a result of the crash.
