As passenger numbers grow, Kamloops Airport encourages people to take advantage of Rouge flight

KAMLOOPS — More people are travelling through Fulton Field this year as compared to 2018.

In a news release, Kamloops Airport managing director Ed Ratuski says the numbers reflect growth, with another highest-ever second quarter for Kamloops Airport, and the continuing best monthly performance trend.

During the first six months of 2019, more than 185,000 passengers went through the airport — an eight per cent increase for the same time period in 2018.

Ratuski says some of that growth can be attributed to the strong performance of airlines through the first two quarters.

He adds growth is expected again during the summer months with the re-introduction of Air Canada Rouge’s non-stop service to Toronto.
