Kamloops airport celebrating 80 years with re-dedication ceremony

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Airport will celebrate its 80th anniversary on Tuesday (July 2) by recognizing the CF-5 Freedom Fighter monument.
In 2018, the eye catching display for the Kamloops 419 Squadron was moved to its new permanent site in front of the airport.
The re-dedication ceremony for the monument will begin at 10 a.m, with a number of local politicians, airport staff, and the 419 Squadron’s Ground Based Training Team Lead in attendance.
