Update: BC Hydro restores power to Kamloops customers

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE: According to the latest from BC Hydro, power has been restored to customers impacted by an outage earlier today.

UPDATE: As per BC Hydro mapping, the area impacted by a power outage earlier this morning has shrunk significantly, with 82 customers now impacted. Crews are still working on site.

PREVIOUS:
BC Hydro crews are working to get electricity back up and running for over 2,000 Kamloops residents this morning (June 29).

On their website, BC Hydro says the cause is a wire down, and the outage has impacted 2,167 customers.

So far, Corix Utilities has not said whether power to Sun Rivers residents has taken a hit.

The outage spans a large portion of the Paul Lake area east of the North Thompson River, west of Pinantan Lake Road, and south of Mount Lolo Road.
