Severe thunderstorm watch issued for several areas in Southern Interior

KAMLOOPS — Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for several areas in and around Kamloops.

Alerts are in place for the Coquihalla Highway, South Thompson and Nicola.

Strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain may impact areas.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop later this morning and intensify early this afternoon.
