Fatal head-on collision on Highway 1 in Salmon Arm

SALMON ARM, B.C. — One person is dead after a head-on crash in Salmon Arm.

At roughly 11:35 a.m. Tuesday (June 25), Salmon Arm RCMP and BC Ambulance attended the crash on Highway 1 at 50th Avenue NW.

Two pickup trucks collided head-on, police say in a news release. One person died, and RCMP say the highway has since reopened.

RCMP say the cause of the crash is unknown and nothing has been ruled out.
