Tampa Bay Lightning pick Blazers’ Schmiemann in 6th round of NHL Entry Draft

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers had their first product taken in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.

The Tampa Bay Lightning selected defenseman Quinn Schmiemann in the 6th round, 182nd overall.

The 6’2” 185lbs native of Wilcox, Saskatchewan was the first Blazer and 24th player from the WHL taken in the draft.

Schmiemann had five goals and 28 points to go along with 30 PIM last year for the Blazers.
