KAMLOOPS — Some tense moments at Marion Schilling Elementary School in Valleyview Friday morning as smoke started to fill the building.
The school was evacuated and Kamloops Fire Rescue was called just before 8:30 a.m.
Firefighters found the smoke was coming from a malfunctioning air conditioner unit and there was no actual fire.
KFR set up fans to ventilate the building, and classes were expected to resume as normal later in the morning.
