Nesika Elementary in Williams Lake locked down due to agitated parent
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Nesika Elementary School in Williams Lake was temporarily locked down Tuesday morning (June 18) after an incident with an unruly parent.
According to a news release from Williams Lake RCMP, the woman had gone to the school looking to see her children. However, due to family custody issues, staff did not allow her to contact her children.
The woman became “very argumentative and aggressive” and RCMP say she was yelling at both staff and students.
Police were called, and when officers arrived, staff told them the woman had left in a vehicle. Officers located her not long after, telling her not to return to the school.
